What Type of Horse Owner Are You?

When something hurts in your own body, what do you do?

Do you reach for the medicine cabinet right away? Do you book an appointment and wait for someone else to tell you what’s wrong?

Or…

Do you pause and look deeper? Do you research homeopathy, herbs, and root‑cause physiology? Do you see your osteopath or bodyworker? Do you explore regenerative options instead of suppressive ones?

In my experience most people fall into one of these two groups — and what I’ve learned is that the way you care for yourself is often the way you care for your horse.

Some owners want quick fixes, symptom relief, and reassurance from someone else. Other owners want understanding, connection, and a deeper look at why the body is struggling in the first place.

I often align more with the second group.

I’m not here to change anyone’s mind or convince someone to “go holistic.” I’m here to support the owners who are already exploring. The ones who already believe the body has wisdom. The ones who already know their horse’s symptoms are communication, not inconvenience. The ones who ask questions and want answers — not band‑aids.

These are the people who find me. These are the horses I can help the most.

I believe so deeply in holistic and alternative health because it changed my life — and I’ve watched it change the lives of countless horses in my practice. The body has an innate ability to heal, and it wants to. This is the foundation of osteopathy: when the right needs are met, the body moves toward balance. Yes, sometimes it needs help — but what that help looks like is different for every horse.

That’s why I offer individualized support.

Two horses can have the same dysfunction, but the reason it exists — and the path they need to heal — can be completely different. What each body needs to thrive is different. That’s why healing and optimal health can’t come from generic programs, generic supplements, generic feeding plans, or generic living arrangements.

It’s why two horses in the exact same environment can have completely different health outcomes.

I support the owners who want options outside of medication and the “norm.” The owners who want to understand their horse’s body. The owners who want to support healing instead of suppressing symptoms. The owners who want a whole‑horse approach — not a one‑size‑fits‑all plan.

So… what type of horse owner are you?

If you’re someone who looks deeper — you’re exactly who I’m here for..
